We are hosting a Mindfulness Summit Dialogue to bring all those who are actively involved with mindfulness practices for dialogue on:
- What is mindfulness for you?
- What are the benefits for you?
- What would be the benefits of mindfulness practices for our business community and leaders?
- How can we bring mindfulness to our businesses community and leaders?
We have no specific outcomes except to bring people together for dialogue, and to be open to what may be birthed from our collective experiences and energy in bringing mindfulness practices to our business community and leaders.
Who is this for?
Anyone who is practicing mindfulness in your life whether it be in the context of your work and/or personal life, business and nonprofit leaders, consultants bringing mindfulness practices to your clients, writers or bloggers focused on mindfulness for leaders or organizations, or a seeker of mindfulness on your own journey.

Kevin Pokorny is the owner of Pokorny Consulting. He is a master trainer, sage advisor to leaders, professional facilitator, and public speaker. He is grateful for the long-term business relationships he has formed over more than 25 years in connecting, collaborating, and creating solutions for clients that work. Kevin has worked collaboratively with a broad range of organizations in Iowa and throughout the United States. His primary work with clients is managing change and transition, building effective teams, and integrating mindfulness practices into one’s leadership style. Kevin is President of the Des Moines West Side Chamber of Commerce and is actively involved with the Greater Des Moines Partnership.

Talent Development Business Partner
Sarah is an innovative and creative talent development specialist with a passion for maximizing organization, team and individual performance. She has over 13 years of talent development experience representing key organizations in the Central Iowa Business community and is currently the Talent Development Business Partner at ARAG.
Sarah holds a Master’s Degree from Drake University specializing in Adult Learning and Organizational Performance and a BA from the University of Northern Iowa in Theatre Performance and Theatre Education. Sarah is also an adjunct professor at Drake University where she teaches graduate classes on leadership development and a guest lecturer at the University of Northern Iowa. Sarah was drawn to mindfulness over 2 years ago as a result of a new diagnoses of Panic Disorder. She quickly realized the benefit of mindfulness for personal and professional growth. She has introduced mindfulness training programs at ARAG and has spoken at a number of conferences about using mindfulness in the workplace.
