Here are four critical questions to ask yourself if you are considering a coach:
- What’s prompting you to seek a coach?
- What is your commitment to a coaching relationship?
- What change(s) are you seeking to make?
- Are you willing to experience discomfort by trying new things and changing your habits?

Renewed Passion for the Law
“Kevin asks me the right questions and pushes the right buttons. He holds me accountable. He has helped me discover the right path for me. With his help, I have explored areas of my life I hadn’t thought about and I see things in new ways.
Kevin has helped reignite my passion for the law. His coaching has impacted how I show up at work. I involve my team more. I recognize them more. I appreciate them more. This has created a ripple effect and I see a difference in how they work together and the results they produce. I created an attitude adjustment for myself that I hadn’t realized I needed, and it has impacted everyone around me.
One of the biggest surprises for me in our coaching is that the solutions are not momentous or major changes; they don’t require large expenditures. They are easy fixes that when changed, things fall into place easily.
I have become more self-reflective and I now feel empowered in my law practice. I have come to realize how much control over my life and my career I really have. I am grateful for Kevin’s help.”

Leading Growth and Change in My Organization
“Kevin is my best kept leadership secret! I call him for coaching as needed, issue-by-issue. I’ll call him if I run into a blind spot in a situation at work. He is very good at helping me drill down, getting out on paper what is going on. Nothing is ever as it seems. Nine times out of ten what I thought was the problem is not the thing that is actually blocking me. He helps me discover the real issue, the real hurdle, or the real roadblock. Then the next three or four steps I’m going to take become clear. And he follows up to make sure I stay on track.
We’re going through some growth in our organization and change management has become a focus for us. We need well-defined processes and more direct lines of communication, where we used to be more informal with our communication. Growth and change can create a recipe for friction between long-term employees and newer employees. I’ve wondered… How do I get my team buy in to this? How do I timeline the process? Kevin has helped me reposition my employees so that long-term employees are now helping newer employees and newer employees are bringing vitality into the organization.
Kevin is a master at questioning me. His coaching causes me to think, ‘Hmm, maybe we should handle that more gently or just go with a 1-on-1 conversation.’ I feel much more confident dealing with resistance to change within my team.
Working with Kevin is an absolute pleasure and joy. He has a calming presence. What I really appreciate is he doesn’t do the work for me, but helps me figure out where I need to go. He has an awesome way of bringing mindfulness to the forefront of how I work. Most importantly, he helps me find the answers I need.”
